Careers at The Rice Den

We’re proud of the experience our team delivers. We’re known for our food, cocktails and award-winning wine list but at the heart of everything is the service that lifts everything from ‘really good’ to great.

We have opportunities for vibrant and friendly wait staff to join the team at The Rice Den. We don’t necessarily require experience as we will provide training – the kind of training that could be the start of turning a casual job into a career or add skills to an existing portfolio.

Give us a call on (02) 9438 3612 or email info@thericeden.com.au to apply.

  • Emi Kudo

Emi Kudo, born and raised in Osaka, Japan, started her food journey at a young age following her mother around the kitchen after school. After completing highschool, Emi decided to take a gap year and travelled to Sydney, Australia. Within days of landing, she fell in love with the beautiful food, lifestyle and multiculturalism that Australia had to offer, and this is where she started pursuing her cooking adventures professionally.

Whilst completing her Diploma of Commercial Cookery and Tourism, Emi travelled extensively throughout Australia and New Zealand, embracing these lands as her oyster. Being Western trained in cooking college, with specialties in Japanese Ramen and Mexican Cuisine, Emi presented a unique edge when she joined The Rice Den team in 2016, quickly working her way up to master organiser of the kitchen.

When not cooking up a storm, Emi enjoys working out, hanging out with her two bunnies Harley and Riley.
